Back to the products video section

This video covers provide an overview of the four analysis types in Cadence's OrCAD 16.6 Lite Capture and PSpice simulation solution. 1) Bias Point In this analysis type, the simulator calculates the DC operating point of the circuit. 2) Transient or Time Domain In this analysis, the circuit is analyzed as a function of time. 3) DC Sweep DC Sweep Analysis allow a voltage or current source to be varied across a range while measure its effect on the rest of the circuit. 4) AC Sweep AC Sweep allows the frequency of AC voltage source to be changed across a range in order analyze the effect on the circuit. It also presents a more in-depth application of DC Sweep analysis.

The IPC-2581 standard

IPC-2581 is a generic standard for printed circuit board assembly products' manufacturing description data and transfer methodology. Developed in 2004 by IPC – Association Connecting Electronics Industry, IPC-2581 is used for transmitting information between a printed circuit board designer and a manufacturing or assembly facility. For nearly every step in the industrial process flow, IPC-2581 offers a standard to help companies ensure superior manufacturability, quality, reliability and consistency in electronics assemblies built for their products. Cadence is a member of the IPC consortium.
